The blade is forged from 80CrV2 high carbon steel and it has an S-ground bevel. An S-grind is a classic convex bevel but with a hollow grind behind it. This creates an air pocket between the knife and what your cutting which leads to excellent food release and less friction.
The handle on this one is made from walnut burl with a synthetic elforyn bolster.
